Air Fryer Pears are a delicious and easy dessert! These air fryer baked pears take less than 20 minutes to cook in the air fryer, and are an elegant dessert that is easy to make.

Baked fruit is always so delicious! That bit of heat really brings out the flavors of whatever you're making. But these days, I love making desserts in my air fryer! So I decided to make air fryer baked pears.
And yum. When topped with delicious spices and a bit of sugar, these air fryer pears taste and feel so fancy! I love leaving the stem on because I think it looks even better, but remove the stem if you prefer.
The cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar pair perfectly with the air fried caramelized pear to give it delicious fall flavors. Whether served on their own, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some chopped nuts, the air fried pears are impressive and feel so fancy.
Ingredients
- Pears - I used Bartlett pears, but you could use other varieties like Anjou pears or Bosc pears.
- Butter - This is used to help caramelize the sugar on the pear.
- Cinnamon - Ground cinnamon gives the air fried pear those fall vibes.
- Nutmeg - Ground nutmeg also adds to the fall vibes.
- Brown sugar - If you prefer, you can use white granulated sugar in place of the brown sugar.
How to make air fryer pears
Slice the pear into two equal halves, and remove the seeds/core. I love to use a melon baller for this!
In a small bowl, add the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Stir until completely combined.
Add pear halves to the air fryer basket, face up. In the middle of each pear, add a pat of butter. I used ½ tablespoon for each half.
Air fry the pears at 350 for 2-3 minutes until butter starts to melt.
Brush some of the butter so it covers the surface of the pear. Add the cinnamon sugar mixture to the top (you may have some leftover).
Air fry pears for another 12-15 minutes until pear is softened.
Plate and serve as desired.
I love mine with some whipped cream and pecans for crunch!
Customizations
- Don't want to use sugar? Use some maple syrup in the place of the sugar. If you do this, you can leave out the butter if you like, as the maple syrup will caramelize on its own.
- Instead of cinnamon and nutmeg, use pumpkin pie spice.
- Try this with apples!
How to serve the air fryer baked pears
The air fryer pears are delicious served with some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. I love this cinnamon whipped cream. For a healthier option, serve with some vanilla Greek yogurt.
I also love to serve baked pears with toppings like a drizzle of caramel sauce or chopped pecans (or these air fryer candied pecans).
Recipe tips
- Using ripe pears works best, as they soften nicely and cook a little more quickly.
- Want to double the recipe? Make 2 air fryer baked pears at a time if your air fryer basket allows.
- If you prefer, you can use less butter or melt the butter prior in a small dish, and then just brush it on.
- Try to keep the pear halves the same size. This way they will both cook a similar time in the air fryer and one won't be thicker than the other.
- All air fryers cook differently. Check frequently for doneness and understand you may need to use more or less time depending on your air fryer and how large your pear is.

My family and I love these! I've made this twice now and switched out the pears for apples, same delicious result! Thanks for this recipe!
