I love tasty appetizers. But putting a little twist on classics. I wanted to make these little bite-sized pigs in a blanket, but put a little spin on it. So I decided to add some everything bagel seasoning.

The result? Tasty pigs in a blanket flavor with the combination of the flaky crescent rolls and the lil smokies, but more fun with the additional flavor of everything bagel.

An easy, delicious, and fun appetizer. And if you're making these for a crowd and aren't sure if everyone enjoys everything bagel seasoning, just make half of the pigs in a blanket with the seasoning and half without!

Ingredients

  • Crescent rolls - You'll need one package of crescent rolls that has 8 triangles inside.
  • Little smokies - Your package of little smokies (cocktail sausages) should contain at least 24 sausages. Most do!
  • Everything bagel seasoning - This is what is going to give your pigs in a blanket that everything bagel flavor!

How to make everything bagel pigs in a blanket

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

While oven preheats, roll out the crescent dough and separate into the 8 triangles. Then, cut each of the 8 triangles into another 3 long triangles, as shown below. You should have 24 triangles total.

Rolling out and cutting crescent roll dough

Pat each of the little smokies dry and then wrap crescent roll dough around it, starting from the wide end and rolling to the point.

Place all on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Recipe tips

  • My pigs in a blanket were ready at the 15 minute mark, but your's could take up to 18 minutes depending on your oven.
  • While you could do an egg wash on these to help the everything bagel seasoning stick, I don't think it's necessary and it should stick fine as you just roll it around in any extra seasoning.

What to serve with the pigs in a blanket

These pigs in a blanket are delicious with dipping sauces like Calabrian mayo or honey mustard bbq sauce. You could also serve with cream cheese for everything bagel vibes.
