Whipped Brown Sugar Butter

Brown sugar butter is easy to make and makes a sweetened butter that is perfect for spreading on toast, croissants, bagels, and more. The brown sugar butter is also perfect on squashes and sweet potatoes.

I love simple tricks that make a food feel a little more special. And one of my favorite hacks is making special butters. By simply combining two or three ingredients, you can take something ordinary into something amazing.

A few years ago I made a strawberry butter that I love spreading on toast and croissants, but lately I've been loving this homemade brown sugar butter that is so easy to make and only uses two ingredients.

The brown sugar butter just adds that perfect amount of extra sweetness to ordinary items like toast or it makes brunch feel fancy when you serve with croissants.

How to use the brown sugar butter

The brown sugar butter is delicious to sweeten up your favorite breakfast and dessert items!

It's delicious used on toast, croissants, bagels, muffins, biscuits, and I love it on French Toast.

The brown sugar butter is also perfect on winter squash! I love adding it to air fryer butternut squash halves, air fryer acorn squash, or air fryer honeynut squash, and it's delicious with sweet potatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Tablespoons butter room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Bring the butter to room temperature.
  • Add the butter to a stand mixer or other bowl. Beat until light and fluffy.
  • Add the brown sugar and beat for another 1-2 minutes until incorporated and combined.
  • Use as desired.
