These air fryer s'mores use leftover candy for an easy, tasty treat! They're fun to make and a delicious way to use up that stash of chocolate candy that's been sitting in your pantry.

After every single holiday I always seem to wind up with so much leftover candy at my house. And I've been trying to think about the best way to use it to make it a little bit more fun.

So I decided s'mores are a delicious treat. And while making them over an actual fire is not always an option, making them in my air fryer is!

The marshmallow gets nicely toasted and the chocolate perfectly melty. There are a few tricks to making these properly in your air fryer though, so be sure to read the instructions and recipe tips!

Ingredients

  • Graham crackers
  • Marshmallows, preferably large or jumbo (mini marshmallows will not work)
  • Leftover chocolate candy like Milky Way, Snickers, Kit-kat, etc.

What type of candy is best

For these air fryer s'mores, you'll want to use chocolate candy! I have tried with Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Snickers, and Kit-kat, and all worked great.

However, I loved the slight peanuty flavor of the Snickers, so it was my favorite.

Recipe tips

  • You can use parchment paper in this recipe, but because the graham cracker and marshmallow are so light, it actually may flip your graham cracker with the marshmallow over. I would actually recommend just placing the graham cracker onto your air fryer rack/basket.
  • Don't skip the step of cutting your marshmallow in half and using the sticky side to stick it to the graham cracker.
  • If you are using jumbo marshmallows, only use one half per s'more. If using large marshmallows, you can either use one half of a marshmallow or both marshmallow halves per s'more.
  • All air fryers cook differently. Be sure to check frequently for doneness levels!

How to make air fryer smores

Take a graham cracker and break it in half. Then take your marshmallow and slice it in half.

Attach the sticky side to one half of the graham cracker, as shown below. (note: if using a jumbo marshmallow, just use one half instead of both halves per s'more).

Place the graham cracker halves in your air fryer basket.

Air fry for 3 minutes, then open your air fryer and add the chocolate to the other halves of the graham crackers.

Air fry again for up to 1 minute, checking frequently for doneness. You want your chocolate to be melty, but not completely melted.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 graham crackers
  • 2 large marshmallows
  • 2 pieces of chocolate candy fun-size

Instructions

  • Break each graham cracker in half. Take each marshmallow and slice in half.
  • Attach the sticky sides of the marshmallows to one half the graham cracker. (For a large marshmallow, you may attach both halves per s'more, for a jumbo marshmallow, you will only use one half per s'more)
  • Place the graham crackers into the air fryer basket, face up. Out of the 4 halves, two will have marshmallows and two will be plain.
  • Air fry for 3 minutes at 370 degrees F. After 3 minutes, add the chocolate candy to the plain graham cracker pieces and air fry for 1 additional minute, checking frequently, until chocolate starts to get melty.
  • Remove s'mores from air fryer basket and squish the marshmallow and chocolate halves together to create two s'mores.
