They have a sweetness from the honey that caramelizes, paired with brightness from fresh lime juice and umami from the soy sauce. Delicious.
Ingredients
- Chicken wings
- Olive oil
- Garic powder
- Soy sauce
- Honey
- Lime
Recipe tips
- If you have full chicken wings, you will want to separate the drum from the wingette piece before cooking.
- Watch the chicken wings carefully to make sure they don't burn. The honey will get dark and caramelized in the air fryer.
- All air fryers cook differently. Adjust cooking times as needed.
How to make air fryer honey garlic wings
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Add the olive oil and garlic powder to a large bowl and stir to combine.

Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels, then add to the bowl and stir to coat wings in olive oil mixture.

Place in air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F. Flip, and cook for an additional 7 minutes.

While chicken wings cook, mix together soy sauce, honey, and juice from half a lime.

Add chicken wings to the bowl and stir to coat.

Place back in the air fryer basket.

Cook an additional 3-5 minutes.

Air Fryer Honey Garlic Wings

- 1 pound chicken wings
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- ½ lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
- While air fryer preheats, in a large bowl, add the olive oil and garlic powder and stir to combine. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and add to the bowl. Stir to coat.
- Place the chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F, then flip and cook an additional 7 minutes.
- In another bowl, add the soy sauce, honey, and juice from ½ a lime. Stir to combine.
- Add wings to the bowl, and stir to coat. Return chicken wings to air fryer and cook an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Plate and enjoy.
