It's quick and easy to make crescent rolls in the air fryer. The air fryer crescent rolls require no preheating time and are ready in less than 10 minutes.
Crescent rolls are the best. They are just flaky, easy to make, and honestly fun.
When I was a kid, I thought they were SUPER fancy. Now that I'm much older... I still think they're pretty special.
I love them because they are just so delicious. Buttery. Flaky. And they pair well with so many things! I usually pick up a can of Pillsbury crescent rolls (though other brands are great too, like Annie's!)
I like getting my kids involved too. They love rolling them up and then eating them once they are cooked. And the air fryer is the best, quickest, and easiest way to cook crescent rolls.
Ingredients
- Can of crescent rolls - I usually use Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, but you can use other brands too.
- Salt, sugar, or whatever else you want to include! (Optional)
Why make crescent rolls in the air fryer
Of course you can make crescent rolls in the oven, so why make them in the air fryer?
No preheating needed - Cooking crescent rolls in the air fryer does not need any preheating. In fact, you should NOT preheat your air fryer to make crescent rolls.
No need to use an oven - Because you don't need an oven, that means you don't need to heat up a giant oven or make your house hotter during the summertime.
Faster - Cooking crescent rolls in the air fryer only takes 5-7 minutes, which means it's much quicker than the oven!
Comes out delicious - You don't sacrifice quality at all. They still come out perfect and flaky every time.

What to serve with crescent rolls
Air fried crescent rolls are so versatile and can be served with breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Here are some ideas on serving suggestions.
Breakfast - If serving for breakfast, serve with some homemade strawberry butter.
Lunch - If serving for lunch, serve with some air fried green beans and bacon or air fryer honey dijon salmon.
Dinner - If serving for dinner, serve with this delicious Tuscan chicken soup, air fryer panko chicken, or Instant Pot Chili. I also like it with some harissa butter.
Recipe tips
- I like to use air fryer parchment paper when I make these. That way they never stick!
- Watch carefully to make sure crescent rolls do not burn. All air fryers cook differently, so start checking at the 5 minute mark.
How to make crescent rolls in the air fryer
First, pop open that can of crescent rolls!
Next, roll out the sheet and carefully separate all the triangles.
Roll up, starting at the flat part of the triangle and rolling toward the narrow tip of the triangle.
Note that you can then curve them into crescent shapes (as the "crescent roll" name implies), but I usually don't.
Either brush/spray air fryer basket with oil or use air fryer parchment paper.
Place in the air fryer basket. You want to leave room for them to expand, so I usually cook 4 at a time in my air fryer.
Cook at 330 degrees F for 5-7 minutes.
Yum. Flaky and delicious.
How to store leftover crescent rolls
Leftover crescent rolls can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-4 days.

Thanks for the shortcut! Worked well for my instapot air fryer as directed, but discovered my timer doesn’t start until it preheats to temp, so I had to watch more carefully, especially since mine has 2 racks and the top always cooks faster. Loved not heating up my kitchen, so totally worth it!

Oh interesting! Good to know about the IP air fryer. Hope that tip helps someone else who has one. :) Thanks for commenting and sharing!

Good idea, but I found that, after 7 minutes, the rolls were unevenly cooked, raw on the bottom and almost burned on the top. After some experimenting, I figured out that if you turn the rolls over after 3 minutes and again after 6 minutes, placing the most raw side up, they cook toroughly and more evenly.

Thank you so much for your comment! I haven't had issues, but all air fryers cook differently unfortunately. I appreciate you sharing what worked for you so other readers can try it out too!
