While I love crisping up a lot of things in my air fryer, it's also perfect for quickly roasting veggies.

And I just love making healthy recipes in my air fryer! So I decided to pop some sugar snap peas in and they were so good.

  • Sugar snap peas
  • Olive oil
  • Sesame oil

Recipe notes

  • All air fryers cook differently. Adjust cooking times as needed.
  • You can always remove the string at the top of the snap pea before cooking, but it's also not necessary.

What's the difference between sugar snap peas and snow peas?

Sugar snap peas are a cross between regular garden peas and snow peas. So they tend to be a little fuller and plumper than regular snow peas. Snow peas are flatter.

While they are very similar in flavor, snap peas still tend to be slightly sweeter than snow peas.

Customization ideas

Want to make the sugar snap peas spicy? Add some red pepper flakes or add some sliced jalapeños or other chilis in with the snap peas in the air fryer.

Want to add a garlic flavor? Add some minced garlic or garlic powder to the snap peas before cooking.

You can also season with various seasonings and spices prior to roasting in the air fryer.

What to serve with the air fried snap peas

The air fried snap peas pair nicely with a lot of dishes. Here are some great pairings.

Main dishes - Air fryer sesame salmon, air fryer honey garlic chicken, air fryer salmon bites, air fryer salmon teriyaki

Side dishes - Sesame rice, air fryer frozen asparagus
