It's so easy to make frozen sweet potato fries in the air fryer. The air fried sweet potato fries get crispy and cook so quickly! Pair with your favorite dipping sauce.

Sweet potato fries on a plate. this recipe

I love making elaborate meals in my air fryer like Air Fryer Honey Mustard Salmon, Air Fryer Chicken Thighs, or Air Fryer Mediterranean Vegetables. But sometimes it's just like to pop a frozen item in and get it all crispy and delicious too.

That's why I love my air fryer. It's so versatile! It can cook fresh food, but it's also great for cooking frozen food quickly (and usually even better than the oven!)

So I never make french fries in the oven any more. Always in the air fryer. And I almost always make these air fryer sweet potato fries or waffle fries in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • Frozen sweet potato fries
  • Salt

How to make frozen sweet potato fries in the air fryer

Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes.

Then, add the frozen sweet potato fries in air fryer basket.

Air fry for 9-11 minutes, or until crispy and cooked through. (Mine were ready right at the 10 minute mark).

Plate, then serve as desired! Serve with a dipping sauce, or top with herbs or toss with spices.

Yum. Crispy and delicious.

How to customize

Customize these sweet potato fries with different flavorings and spices! I love adding some smoked paprika, garlic powder, or some dried herbs when cooking, depending on what I'm in the mood for.

I also love adding some homemade peri-peri seasoning to make peri-peri fries.

Dipping sauces

I love serving the air fried sweet potato fries with a delicious dipping sauce. Here are a few of my favorites.

  • Homemade chipotle mayo
  • Honey mustard bbq sauce
  • Cumin lime ketchup
  • Bang bang sauce

What to serve with air fried sweet potato fries

The sweet potato fries can be served with so many delicious foods! Here are some of my favorites that pair well.

Main courses - Air fryer panko chicken, air fryer chicken fried steak, air fryer honey mustard salmon, air fryer tuna patties, air fryer tuna melt

Side dishes - Air fryer corn on the cob, air fryer crispy zucchini

Desserts - Air fryer apples, air fryer peach cobbler, air fryer puff pastry tarts

Recipe notes

  • Cook times may vary based on the brand of sweet potato fry you use and your air fryer. Test a couple of fries for doneness and crispness before removing all fries from the air fryer.
  • These sweet potato fries are even better served with a dipping sauce or tossed in some spices!
