Making frozen meatballs in the air fryer is quick and easy. These air fryer frozen meatballs make the perfect dish!
I love making fresh food in my air fryer. But we all know the air fryer is perfect for also cooking up frozen food.
The air fryer is perfect for popping in your favorite waffle fries, sweet potato fries, gyoza, and of course, meatballs!
Why make frozen meatballs in the air fryer
There are so many reasons to make frozen meatballs in the air fryer.
First, it's just easy. While I love meatballs from scratch, I also love popping a few into the air fryer whenever I want to cook several.
Doesn't require heating up a large oven. When I'm just making a few, I love how the air fryer is just the perfect quick way to cook them.
Delicious. Obviously, this depends on what brand of frozen meatball you buy, but my son gobbles these meatballs up!
Customizable. Sure they are frozen. But then you can serve them in so many ways and coat them with whatever sauces you want!
Ingredients
- Frozen meatballs. Yup, that's it. You will probably want more ingredients, but it depends on how you want to serve them!
How to make frozen meatballs in the air fryer
Simply preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes, then add your meatballs!
Cook until hot and warmed all the way through.
Serve as desired.
What to serve with the meatballs
The meatballs are delicious served in a CAVA copycat bowl, or with some creamy harissa pasta.
If serving with a side dish, I love making air fryer parmesan potatoes or air fryer sweet potato wedges.
Recipe tips
- Cooking times will depend on the size of meatballs! Take one out and cut open if you need to or use a meat thermometer to judge internal temperature.
- I find that shaking the basket with meatballs a couple of times during cooking helps them cook nicely.
- While the recipe specifies adding 8 meatballs, you can add more than that! Add however many you want, just make sure they are in a single layer.
