Air fryer corn on the cob in the husk is easy to make, and there is no boiling needed! The corn cooks completely in the air fryer and steams in the husk to produce juicy kernels.

When I discover I can make things in my air fryer, I get so excited. And making air fryer corn on the cob feels like such a game-changer!

While I love roasting it out of the husk so it gets all charred, when I want a softer, juicier kernel, I make air fryer corn on the cob in the husk.

The corn doesn't get roasted this way, it just gets cooked and stays juicy. And then I usually top with butter, but sometimes I will throw on some smoked paprika or other seasonings!

Ingredients

  • Corn on the cob (in the husk)
  • Butter or other toppings

What to serve with the corn on the cob

I love serving the corn on the cob with some other tasty air fryer food! Here are some ideas.

Main dishes - Air fryer boneless pork chops, air fryer salmon, air fryer crispy chicken thighs, air fryer bbq chicken thighs

Side dishes - Air fryer zucchini chips, air fryer squash, air fryer parmesan potatoes, air fryer parmesan tomatoes

Desserts - Air fryer peaches, air fryer peach cobbler, air fryer pineapple

How do you make roasted corn in the air fryer?

If you want corn that is a little more roasted, you will want to take it out of the husk before cooking. But luckily, it's easy to do! Check out this recipe for air fryer corn on the cob to find out how.

Recipe tips

  • It's very important to remove some of the loose husk pieces before air frying. When air frying, they can loosen up and fly into the air fryer fan and burn. I recommend removing some to start, checking around the 15 minute mark to see if any have loosened more and remove any that have. And keep an eye on your corn! You can also place something on top of the corn to prevent this.
  • You can also wet the ears a bit before placing in the air fryer, and this will allow for steaming and help keep the husks from drying out as much.
  • All air fryers cook differently. Adjust cooking times as needed always!
  • Depending on the size of your air fryer and the corn, you may need to cut the corn to fit into your air fryer.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 ears corn in the husk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • salt optional
  • pepper optional

Instructions

  • Take your ears of corn and chop off the top part with the silk. If needed, trim the bottom section so that your corn fits in the air fryer.
  • Remove any loose outer leaves of the husk (very important, so they don't blow and catch on fire). Run the corn under water briefly.
  • Place corn in the air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. (Check after 15 minutes to remove any additional loose parts of the husk).
  • Remove from air fryer basket, remove the husk and any silk and coat with butter and season as desired.
